Sponsoring - 1 Month

A small recurring contribution that keeps Flow PHP maintained. In exchange: the Sponsor role on our Discord - a custom username color and access to exclusive channels.

Flow PHP is MIT licensed and always will be. Nobody pays to use it, and nobody ever has to. But keeping it that way is work that never shows up in a changelog: reviewing contributions, patching security issues, cutting releases, keeping the documentation honest, and paying for the infrastructure that builds and tests every commit.

Sponsoring is the simplest way to help carry that. It is not a product with a feature list, it is a small recurring thank-you that buys maintainer time - and it comes with a place at the table.

The Sponsor role on Discord

Sponsors get the Sponsor role on the Flow PHP Discord server. It shows: your username gets its own color, so sponsors stand out in every conversation. And it opens the exclusive channels where the maintenance happens out loud: what is being worked on, what is being postponed and why, roadmap discussions before they become issues, and the honest trade-off conversations that never make it into release notes.

  • The Sponsor role, visible on the server
  • A custom username color, so your name stands out
  • Access to the exclusive sponsor-only channels
  • Roadmap and design discussions before they land on GitHub
  • A direct line to the maintainer, in a channel small enough to be read

This is the first sponsor benefit, not the last. As sponsoring grows, so will what it includes - and existing sponsors get everything new at the price they signed up with.

How the role reaches you

The role is not sent automatically - there is one step you have to take yourself. Checkout is handled by Polar; afterwards you sign in to the Polar customer portal with the email you bought with (no password - Polar emails a one-time code), open your order and connect your Discord account there. Nothing happens until you do. Once Discord is connected, Polar takes over: the server invitation and the granting of the Sponsor role are fully automated on their side - no screenshots to send, nobody to DM.

The role is tied to the sponsorship: it stays granted while your sponsorship is active. When the sponsorship ends, the benefit expires with it and Polar's Discord integration takes the role away.

Renewal and cancelling

This sponsorship renews automatically, monthly. You can cancel anytime from the same customer portal: cancelling stops the next renewal, your sponsorship and the Discord role stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you can change your mind and un-cancel any time before that date.

What it is not

It is not a support contract. There is no SLA, no guaranteed response time, and no queue-jumping for issues - if you need the maintainer on your problem, that is what consulting is for. And it gates nothing: Flow PHP stays MIT and complete for everyone, sponsor or not.
